OWL UPDATE ...for our barn owl followers . After last year's nest predation mumma owl has been very secretive and seldom showing herself but we can confirm that owlets can now be heard in the nest .

A lovely new boulangerie , patisserie and shop has opened in the nearby village of Meneac - only a couple of minutes away from the gites by car .

Highly recommended day out for our guests - the medieval town of Josselin. Beautiful timber frame buildings and stunning Chateau with gardens open to visitors . Doll museum , Cathedral where you can discover the inspiration behind the names in Tolkien's Lord of the rings series and climb the tower to gain incredible views. Walk along the Nantes Breast canal , canoe or perhaps take a boat out . Numerous restaurants but if you cross the canal you can sit on the terrace of the Hotel Du Chateau and relax over lunch or evening meal in the sunshine with full view of the imposing chateau .
