We feel deeply emotional about what is happening in Ukraine right now and believe it or not, it is so easy to get soaked in tears thinking about what the Ukrainians have to endure, while we enjoy a nice dinner, friends night out, a sauna or anything else that could bring us joy. Ukrainians can't.
We constantly feel that we are just to entitled and we keep forgetting that complaining about all small and insignificant issues in our lives will not make us better. We have become ignorant and self-centered. And we won't stop.
We have friends that are Ukrainians, they have families back home and us, Romanians, share a dark common part of the history.
We have fought hard for our independence, they did the same and we all deserve freedom and a better world. Yes, it sounds idyllic but the moment we give up hope, there won't be much left.
