Blackberry Charlotte🖤

A little taste of early autumn. Our take on the classic Charlotte cake is made with layers of soft sponge cake, blackberry and blackcurrant gel, and vanilla mousse, finished with fresh blackberries and red oxalis.

Meet the “salt & pepper”🤍🖤

A little more flavour in every bite. Rolled in poppy seeds, sesame, salt and pepper before baking for a savoury, slightly nutty finish.

Best enjoyed simply with butter and perhaps a slice of cheese or two.

A bakery in Copenhagen wouldn’t be complete without “rugbrød”🤎

Rye bread is a staple in Danish households, enjoyed from morning to evening - simply with butter or topped with your favourite toppings.

At Kong Hans Bakery, our rye bread is made with rye flour from Bornholms Valsemølle, dark malt and a blend of seeds. It is a three-day process, with a long fermentation that gives the bread its deep, aromatic flavour. We begin by soaking the seeds in sourdough starter, before mixing, shaping and proofing the dough. Finally, the bread is baked and left to rest overnight - ready to be enjoyed the following day.

A final taste of summer 🍓

Danish strawberry season is almost over, so there’s only a little time left to enjoy this summer favourite.

Our strawberry tart is made with a crisp tart shell brushed with dark chocolate, filled with frangipane and light whipped mascarpone ganache, and finished with fresh Danish strawberries.
