Hello Aarhus. Our lil Hakkō Hut is finally finished 🫶🏼 Welcome to the tinest matcha house in Aarhus. A whopping 35m² space on Bassin 7 by the sea with lots of outdoor area for the sun seekers. Phase I is initiating out of II. If you’re ready. So are we. See you today at 12:00 - 17:00 for our soft opening.
After months of thinking, testing, doubting, changing our minds, and starting over, we’re opening a tiny but full of charm space. Our first matcha-only venture 👀 35m² by the sea. Built around a single obsession: matcha.
For the first time, we’re opening a café dedicated entirely to it.

For the first time ever, we’re going all in on what feels most true to us: matcha.
Hakkō Huset will be our first matcha-only café, and maybe our boldest move yet.
Inside, we’re exploring laminated pastries inspired by Danish traditions, new breads like shokupan, and a more rip-and-dip way of eating sourdough. Less precious. More playful.
It’s also the first place where you’ll find our matcha soft serve. One permanent matcha base, one rotating flavour. Have it on top of a matcha. Have it as an affogato. Expect flavour combinations you haven’t seen before. Sourdough goods, food and new savory plates.
Because we’re interested in expanding palettes, not repeating them.
For the soft opening days ahead, we’re also introducing a vegan cloud topping on selected drinks, alongside a refined sugar-free drink sweetened with dates.
