Guava + Acerola = Agroforestry BFFs 👭🌳

The reason Guaverola exists goes beyond flavors.

Guava (Psidium guajava) is a true Brazilian tree, with endemic roots in the rainforests of South America. Reaching up to 13 metres height, it thrives in full sun ☀️

Acerola (Malpighia glabra), on the other hand, can be called a ‘bush’ with its 1-3 meters height and - guess what?! it does really well in partial shade or indirect light.

Grown together, Acerola hides wonderfully in the shade of ‘guayabo’ tree, which makes them the perfect agroforestry BFFs - and another reason we chose them to compose the Guaverola recipe.

Guaverola tastes so amazing it’s difficult to describe… the ripe-harvested Guava has a unique and intense aroma by itself. When combined with the fruity acidity of Acerola, its flavour is just multiplied in your mouth 🤤

They don’t just taste delicious together… they complement each other perfectly on our agroforestry systems - but that story we tell you in the next post 🤓
