Well, that's it. My last two cakes here, in Cyprus, made and delivered 😥

My family and I are returning to the UK for family reasons.

We've had an absolutely fantastic time here. I've so enjoyed the challenges, a few of you set me even more challenging cake themes, you know who you are 🤣🤣. I hope I did justice to each one.

A very happy birthday to these two.
Both cakes are vanilla sponge. The golf bag has chocolate marshmallow buttercream and the unicorn has strawberry jam with vanilla marshmallow buttercream.

I am totally self taught; I made my first, basic fondant cake, around 5-6 years ago and things just progressed from there.
Thank you, once again, for giving me an opportunity, for something I never thought I'd do 😊

I was asked to make a cake for a lady who loves her 3 dogs and her cat. The cake required wasn't to be too big, so it was agreed on the just the animal heads to be made for the cake. Just love challenges 😊.

The cake is vanilla sponge, all edible bar the cat whiskers.

Well, it's been a hot week getting the last 4 cakes baked, decorated and delivered before I go away for a few weeks.

There's been:

Carrot cake with white Chocolate and Rose gold Chocolate decoration.

Chocolate bottom tier, vanilla top tier Graduation cake.

Vanilla sponge cake with a Airedale dog cake topper.

Lastly; Chocolate chip sponge with mini Bacardi bottles decorated with sea blues and gold.

I hope everyone had and has a fantastic birthday, celebrating with friends and family.

Well, it's been a busy week this week.

An elegant pastel colour cake for a young lady who turned 15

A book and Kindle themed cake for a gentleman who turned 80

The challenge of the week was to have 4 cakes complete and out for delivery yesterday 🥵

A 2 tier elegant cake for a lady who turned 25. The cake was based on her palette colours.

Definitely different, a cake based on flipflops 🤣 for a lady who turned 50.

I was asked to make a cake for a lady turning 70, who loves Campari, flies planes and loves flowers; as you can see I chose the flying theme.

Lastly, a cake for an Oreo chocolate lover who turned 30.

I hope you all had fantastic birthday celebrations.

How I started out

Having completed 23 years in the British Army I retired to Northern Cyprus, with my husband and daughter. Soon after arriving to Northern Cyprus, I decided I needed something to do, a hobby.

Having always had an avid interest in baking I decided to bake UK style cakes for a local craft market which I started to do in November 2013. I started off with a few flavoured cupcakes and gradually increased the amount and the variety of cakes that I produced. Having received requests for birthday/Wedding cakes, and having youtube to guide me, I soon learnt how to be creative with cakes and to be decorative with fondant. Also through request the introduction of Savoury UK style pastries came into effect. Over the years I have met many customers that have became good friends. I hope to continue meeting and making new friends, doing what I love, baking.

The time for change has now come, in a way that I hope meets the requirements of old, current and new customers . I have had to have a rethink of the way forward, a new chapter for me and 2019; one of which I hope to enjoy as much as I have the last 5 years. I look forward to accommodating old, current and new custom in this new adventure of baked to order Cakes and Savouries.
