Little bit late in coming but it’s the goodbye post! I just wanted to say a giant, heart felt thank you to everybody who helped with and supported Brownies&Bakes over the past couple of years, whether it was buying goodies, ordering cakes, helping run the market stall or just reassuring me that the brownies really did taste nice 🥹 I loved getting into local market life (even with the early saturday morning wake ups) and learning how to drive up and down hilly Swiss roads without sending cakes flying, but as I sink full time into teaching, B&B is going to be taking a wee hiatus. From Calabria to Switzerland, I’m so grateful to all the friends who made my journey into the food world the crazy adventure it has been! Here’s hoping the next step is just as mad, strange and exciting 🤓 ❤️

Happy 30th birthday Haut-Lac!

Yesterday was a big day, not just because it was the culmination of a very large order (200 cupcakes, 13 big loaf cakes and a celebration cake!), but also because I got to celebrate Haut-Lac school’s 30th birthday with so many friends and family. That’s 30 years of effort my family have put into making the school not only an incredible place to learn in, but more importantly, the home of a community with so much heart.

Haut-Lac might be a family business, but it’s not just us - that family includes all the kids who pass through the school doors every day. It was an honour to make the cakes for yesterday’s wonderful celebrations and I’m so very proud. Your children would consider themselves lucky if we’re even half as successful as you, well done guys 🤓 🥳 ❤️

So you’ve had your month off to be healthy, do all the January reset stuff…but tell me, aren’t you beginning to feel ready for a little temptation again?

I’ve been trialling some new things that will hopefully be starring at the markets (soon as it gets warm enough for me to stand outside for six hours!)

Brown butter apple custard donuts, Oreo and Malteser brownies, more cookies because there are never too many cookies…and if you can’t wait, order today for home delivery or go get your fix at the !
