Chocolate cake, raspberry filling, and swiss meringue buttercream

I had to go back and check the last time I made an ornate cake of any kind, and it was apparently 2022, around the time I started my undergrad. I’ve made many cakes since but they were simple and what I’d call more utilitarian.

There are very few things that fully hold my attention and focus the way culinary projects do, and I often crave for afternoons like this one when it feels like the world doesn’t exist outside my kitchen. It’s a nice reminder of why this passion has stuck with me while my interests have evolved over the years.
