A little peek inside the maple cinnamon 🤎

That deep, caramelized crust on the outside? That’s the maple + cinnamon doing their thing as they bake, giving the loaf so much flavour. 🍁

It may not have given me quite the swirl I pictured, but I think the inside turned out pretty beautiful anyway. 🤎

So why Daily Bread with Ev? 🤎

Yes, the name is cute and my nickname is Ev, but that’s not the whole story.

It’s taken me a while to write this post because I really wanted to dig deep into why I chose this name.

Daily Bread.

To me, my daily bread is Jesus. He’s the Bread of Life. My Saviour, my Redeemer, my comfort, my hope, my all in all.

Jesus is the Bread of Life. He fulfils me and satisfies me in a way that no person or thing ever could. Each day I can wake up knowing that no matter what comes or how I’m feeling

Tired.
Broken.
Lonely.
Afraid.
Or anything in between.

I can rest in the fact that I have a Saviour, a Father, and a friend who is with me through it all.

Why do I tell you this?

Because this is the heart behind Daily Bread with Ev. Yes, I love making bread. I love the process, the creativity, the people I’ve met through it, and getting to share something homemade with others.

But more than that, I want this little business to be a reminder of the One who truly satisfies.

Life isn’t always easy, and following Jesus doesn’t mean every day will be. But it does mean I don’t have to walk through any of it alone. It’s a daily reminder for me to come back to Him, to trust Him, and to find my joy in Him rather than in my circumstances.

And if you’ve ever wondered what it means to have that kind of hope and joy, I hope you’ll know there’s room for you too. 🤎
