A little shift is happening here. 🧡
Over the past few years, I've been trying to figure out how to hold together the different things I make, study, practice, & care about. You might know I make and sell garments, accessories, jewelry & also offer spiritual direction.
For a while I separated them.
There was the making instagram account where I focused on the handmade products, the making process, the artisans in Madagascar, the markets & everything in between and behind the scenes.
And,
The spiritual care account where I shared spiritual direction thoughts, books & musings.
A few years ago I managed to wrestle both streams into one website: FerventFolk.com.
It felt awkward at first.
But the more I pay attention the more I realize my making, mending, studying & spiritual care work are not really separate.

They all come from the same place:
A desire to slow down, to notice, to create & contemplate. To care for what is already here. To ask better questions. To become more attentive - to ourselves, to one another, to the world around us, and to the Divine.
So I'm bringing these accounts together under
You'll still find spiritual direction & soul care.
You'll also find earrings, garments, mending, jeans, retreat guides, other makers whose work I admire, reflections from my studies, and the projects I'm quietly working on.
I'm becoming less interested in separating the "spiritual" from the rest of life. What's more, I'm becoming more courageous in going public with the spiritual alongside my public persona.
Because I believe spirituality isn't something we *add* to our lives, or keep sequestered to a separate compartment (or account). I think it's woven throughout how we live, make, consume, mend, learn, rest, create, related, and pay attention. I want to acknowledge this. This is the conversation I want Fervent Folk to have.
