Prairie Wolf Bakery is looking for a seasonal Prep & Packaging Assistant to join our small team. We are a busy, seasonal bakery where there is always something moving, a farmers market to attend, or bread coming out of the oven
Who we are:
Prairie Wolf Bakery is a sourdough microbakery located just outside of Richer MB. We sell at local farmers markets, events and online. We grow a lot of our ingredients ourselves on our homestead, and what we don’t grow, we source from local producers and farmers. We create a rotating menu that changes with the seasons, using whatever ingredients are the most abundant. We strive for sustainability, creative flavours, and food with health benefits. This year we’re expanding and are looking forward to having you join our team!

The Role & Responsibilities
As a part of our team, you’ll be assisting us in keeping our kitchen clean, preparing ingredients, and packing/labelling the final products.
Kitchen Prep: Includes juicing lemons, caramelizing onions, making drinks, assisting the bakers in scaling ingredients, prepping cookie/scone doughs.
Packaging & Labelling: Carefully pack our finished goods and ensure every item is labelled accurately and packed neatly for our customers.
Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a “clean-as-you-go” workspace. This includes washing dishes, sanitizing prep areas, and keeping the kitchen organized. Wage starting at $18/hr
Who you are:
Energetic & Proactive: You’re able to stay on your feet for your shift, prefer a job where you’re constantly moving and staying busy. You must be able to handle lifting (flour bags, trays, etc.) up to 50lbs.
Detail-Oriented: You’re the person who notices if a label is crooked or if a prep task isn’t quite right.
A Reliable Teammate: In a small business, every person counts. We’re looking for someone who shows up on time and is ready to dive in and change roles as needed.
Previous experience in a kitchen or a Food Handler’s Certificate is a big plus, but we’re happy to train someone with the right attitude and work ethic. If you love plants and sustainability, even better!

We’re using the last of our Saskatoon berries for these gorgeous Saskatoon Berry scones 🤩 berries hand picked by us, lemon glaze and lemon sugar make this the perfect addition to any breakfast or afternoon tea 🫖 find them tomorrow 10am-2pm!
