Tomorrow’s the season opener for the Weyburn: Market on the Farm and we are in full-on creating & baking mode! M is working on beautiful watercolour cards, including Mother’s Day. birthday cards, and the cutest all-occasion cat 🐈 & dog 🐶 cards.
D has lots on the go. Below are some photos from her Friday bake for regular clients (reach out if you’d like to be added to the list), but she’ll be baking through the wee hours of the morning to have lots if fresh baking and sourdough bread for tomorrow’s market!
Organic baking on tomorrow’s menu:
Pain de compagne sourdough loaves
Sourdough oat scones
& sourdough pumpkin spice oat scones with an organic maple syrup glaze
Rosemary & olive oil focaccia & the new addition receiving rave reviews: four cheese & garlic-herb oil focaccia
Apple galette - a rustic French free-form pie with organic apples; the perfect blend of spices; not too much sugar; and an organic butter, sourdough discard pie pastry, which contributes a lovely complex flavour, tender and flaky crust, and increased digestibilty. Each galette is perfect for two people to share for dessert, afternoon tea, or even breakfast!
S'mores cookies- slightly crispy at the edges and chewy in the middle, and the addition of oats adds a subtle nutty flavour. The combination of handmade organic sourdough graham cracker crumbs, dark chocolate shavings and chips, and roasted marshmallows give it the distinctive S'mores flavour. Enjoy the taste of a night by the campfire without the smoke and mess.
