Hi I’m Mel, your local Wasaga Beach Cupcake Baker! 🧁❤️
I’ve always had a passion for baking cupcakes for as long as I can remember.
I started baking cupcakes for others back in 2007 as a bribe to get my staff to attend my staff meetings at work and it worked! IYKYK! From there I started to bake cupcakes for family and friends celebrations, holidays, baby showers, weddings, birthdays you name it my cupcakes were there.
Once I gained enough confidence I decided to try and sell my cupcakes to the public. Why not give it a try? Worst case, if I wasn’t successful I could just stop baking at any time as I already had a full time career and at least I knew I had followed my dream !
I jumped in with both feet, had a logo made, bought supplies, taught myself some new tips and tricks and started to market my cupcakes! From there Just Cuz Cupcakez had become a success and I’ve been baking for the community since 2016!!!
I didn’t want to be like everyone else, I wanted to bring something different to the cupcake world that wasn’t just your average cupcake. I started to explore into the idea of fondant stamping and going “outside of the box” (or cupcakes box haha) trying my vision of Extreme cupcakes and just making fun cupcakes in general that allowed me to use my creative side! 🧁❤️
Located in the heart of Wasaga Beach I have been able to support local store openings, charity contributions, town events, giveaways, a celebrity party and more!
My family has been my biggest cheerleaders and are always so supportive! Having a Full time job, being a wife, a Mom of 2 young boys, 2 Bonus daughters, a God Mother to 4 and making cupcakes on the side can sometimes be hectic ! But I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Just Cuz Cupcakez has a TikTok page “Just.cuz.cupcakez”, page “Just Cuz Cupcakez” and an Instagram page “justcuzcupcakez” with over 350 cupcake designs for the public to see!
