Leadership isn’t about being louder.
It’s about staying connected when others can’t.
The room organizes around the most regulated body in it.

In this insightful episode of Her Tribe Radio, we delve into the profound connections between matriarchal memory, biological inheritance, and ancestral trauma.

Building on our previous series that reframed matriarchy from a power struggle to a focus on placement, we explore how matriarchal principles are deeply rooted in our biological makeup, particularly through the lenses of mitochondrial inheritance and the memories carried within our bodies.

Patriarchy is not primarily about men ruling women.
It is about:

inheritance control

labor predictability

sexual regulation

lineage certainty

Female intuition, when uncaptured, disrupts all four.

“I AM”

• Both babies were conceived by divine intervention (one by the Holy Spirit, one by the magic of the High Priestess/Goddess).

• Both babies had a human foster father who raised them but was not their biological generator (Joseph for Jesus; Seb/Geb is often the earth-father figure, though Osiris is the spiritual father).

• Both babies were of royal lineage and born to be King (King of the Jews vs. Pharaoh/King of Egypt).

• Both babies were hunted by a jealous tyrant who wanted to kill them to secure his own throne (King Herod vs. The God Set).

• Both babies had to go into hiding to survive infancy (Jesus fled to Egypt; Horus was hidden in the marshes of the Nile Delta).

• Both babies were announced by a star (The Star of Bethlehem vs. The Star Sirius/Sothis, which heralded the birth of the new year/flood).

• Both babies were visited by adoring figures bringing gifts (The Magi/Shepherds vs. The Gods and Kings depicted in "Birth Houses" bringing offerings).

• Both babies are celebrated as "The Light" arriving during the Winter Solstice to conquer the darkness.

• Both babies were destined to avenge their father's honor (Jesus glorifying the Father; Horus avenging Osiris).

• Both babies are depicted in art sitting on their mother's lap (The visual of Mary nursing Jesus is a direct artistic continuation of Isis nursing Horus).

• Both represented the "Resurrection of the Father" (Jesus is the "Resurrection and the Life" who glorifies the Father; Horus is the "Living Image" of Osiris who ensures his father’s immortality in the afterlife).

• Both had a "missing years" period (The Bible is silent on Jesus from age 12 to 30; Egyptian myth is silent on Horus’s growth from a vulnerable child in the marshes to a warrior adult).

• Both began their work at age 30 (Jesus was baptized and began his ministry at approx. 30; Horus was considered to come of age and challenge Set for the throne at 30).

• Both were "baptized" or anointed (Jesus was baptized by John in the river Jordan; Horus was ritually purified with water by Thoth before being crowned).

• Both performed miracles involving sight (Jesus healed the blind; Horus restored his own "Wadjet Eye" after it was gouged out, which became a symbol of healing and wholeness).

• Both walked on water (Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee; Horus is depicted in texts as crossing the waters on "wings of a falcon" or trampling crocodiles underfoot to cross the Nile).

• Both fought a 40-day wilderness battle (Jesus fasted 40 days and was tempted by Satan; Horus fought a protracted battle in the desert against Set, the god of chaos/evil).

• Both were associated with the "Tree of Life" (Jesus is the vine/fruit of the tree; Horus and Osiris are often depicted rising out of a Djed pillar or Acacia tree).

• Both are the "Word" or "Command" (Jesus is the Logos or Word made flesh; Horus carried out the Hu or authoritative command of Ra).

✨ The "I Am" Connection

Perhaps the most eerie parallel is how they identified themselves.
In the Book of the Dead, Horus says:

"I am Horus in glory... I am the Lord of Light... I am the victorious one... I am the heir of endless time."

In the Gospels, Jesus says:

"I am the light of the world... I am the way, the truth, and the life... Before Abraham was, I am."

EPISODE 2 of Her Tribe Radio is live.
HER STORY: What Women Survive in Grey Bruce.

Today’s episode goes deeper into the biology that underpins so much of women’s lived experience right now — especially in rural Ontario.

🔬 HFDT — Heart Field Dysregulation Typing
The five stress states your body shifts into when the world around you becomes unsustainable:

• Fight — heat, pressure, activation
• Flight — spiraling, urgency
• Freeze — disconnect, numbness
• Fawn — appeasing, over-extending
• Fold — depletion, collapse

These nervous system signatures shaped by environment, trauma, and chronic strain are our markers.

And today’s HER STORY features Hope — a woman from Grey County who sat down with me to share her lived experience navigating crisis, systems, and survival with a honesty and steadiness that every woman listening will feel in her own body.

Her voice is data.
Her story is biology.
Her truth is a map of what women carry in silence.

If your heart’s been racing,
If your cycle’s changed,
If you feel like you’re holding too much —
this episode breaks down the why in a way most spaces don’t.

🎙 Episode 2 is out now.
Your rhythm awaits.

Every episode of Her Tribe moves through three layers so the conversation stays grounded and honest: Blood, Bread, and Roses.

Blood looks at what’s happening inside the body when life becomes unstable — the stress load, the gut-brain changes, the sleep disruption, the emotional burnout.

This carousel is an example of Blood: the way rural justice involvement shows up as biology long before it shows up as “behaviour.”

Bread looks at the conditions shaping women’s daily lives — housing pressure, food access, childcare, transportation, and the economic reality of rural Ontario.
This is the environment the body is reacting to.

Roses is where the stories land.
It’s the lived experience, the interviews, and the clarity that comes from women naming what’s happening in real time.
Not inspirational — just honest.

This three-part lens keeps every episode connected to the body, the terrain, and the women living in it.
It’s how we make sure the conversation reflects what’s actually happening in places like Grey Bruce — not the stereotypes, and not the assumptions.

More coming soon.
