⋒everything you’ve done- AND continue to do!⋒

So, the question is: how do I possibly write a post that thanks you not only for creating the most incredible, love-focused, safe, inclusive, and welcoming dream of a 3–5 program any parent could ever wish for… but for being the very foundation of it all?

You started this. You are the roots.
↟
There are truly no words that could ever begin to express our deep appreciation for you, or for giving us — as parents — a place to send our children where they are constantly encouraged to shine in their magical light, while having their minds blown by all of the interesting and intricate things they learn every single day.
↟
You brought together this team — a group of educators I genuinely could not have imagined more perfectly suited for these roles. You did that.
↟
And then, somehow, you turned around and offered me my dream too.
↟
I just hope you feel how deeply appreciated you are, and how incredibly celebrated you will continue to be.
↟
As this becomes your last chapter as Director, I can’t even imagine all the emotions that must come with it. But what I do know is this: you will forever be the roots here, and that will never change.

As we step into this new chapter, you are the foundation we now get to continue building from. We turn the page and keep growing — but never without honouring you and everything you’ve done to make this place what it is.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you for this space. Thank you for your legacy. And thank you for still being here through June — because honestly, nobody is ready to let you go yet.

From the heart… I’m not even sure how to say this, or where to begin.

But what keeps coming up is simply—thank you 🤍

Some doors are gently beginning to close for me, while new ones open for my dear friend Carolyn.

In just five weeks, there will be a new Director in the driver’s seat at Seedlings 🌱, and I’ll slowly begin saying my farewells and my thank yous.

It feels only right to start with the people who make this place what it is—the ones who show up, day after day, for these incredible kiddos.
To the amazing teachers—Sam, Rose, and Colley—I truly can’t put into words the gratitude and love I have for you.

To my wife—thank you for holding me through it all. For wiping my tears on the hard days (because let’s be honest, building something like this isn’t always easy).

To my friends—Chelsea, Isabella, and Carolyn—thank you for the laughter, the listening, and yes… the many glasses of wine along the way.

And to the kiddos…
As much as I love all the grown-ups, it’s you I will miss the most. The silliness, the quiet moments, the connection, the magic. I love you all more than words can hold.

I know this next chapter of Seedlings is going to grow into something even more beautiful than I imagined. The woman stepping into this role is an absolute powerhouse—truly one of a kind. If you get the chance to know her the way I do, you’ll understand… she’s a gem 💎

This weekend we celebrate something truly special… ✨
It’s Teacher Sam’s birthday, and we couldn’t think of a more beautiful way to end our week than by honouring her and all that she brings into our world.

Sam is one of those rare souls who lights up every room she enters — effortlessly.
She finds joy in the simplest moments, invites laughter in where it’s needed most, and holds a deep, unwavering love for children and their growth.

There is a kind of magic she carries — the quiet, powerful kind that makes children feel seen, safe, and inspired. And somehow, she does this all while lifting up everyone around her, too.

Seedlings has been incredibly lucky to be touched by her presence over these past few years… and truthfully, it’s impossible to imagine this place without her.

So today, we celebrate you, Sam — your heart, your laughter, your magic. ✨

We ended our week with our friends at the Compost Education Centre! Always grateful for the songs, the knowledge and the occasional dance or two we have while we’re there! We hope that everyone’s weekend brings them what they need and we look forward to see what next week brings!
