We are honored to be named one of five successful applicants for Launch Victoria, a brand-new initiative by the City of Victoria and the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce.

Our mission has always been to bring the health benefits and unmatched flavor of real European baking to Victoria—from traditional hand-twisted Bretzels to long-fermentation sourdoughs made with true old-world craft.

Through Launch Victoria, we’ll be working alongside expert mentors, business coaches, and the City Business Ambassador over the next year to expand our reach and better serve our island community.

This email address is NOT associated with the Greater Victoria Festival Society, Sidney Street Market, Kelly Kurta, or the KAEMAC team in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER.

We do NOT have a Candy Cane Lane Gmail account.

All legitimate vendor communications will come ONLY from one of our established official email accounts:

• Greater Victoria Festival Society
• Sidney Street Market
• Kelly Kurta’s established personal email

If you receive ANY email requesting vendor fees or payment for Candy Cane Lane from another email address, please do not respond or send payment.

Instead:

🚩 Flag and report the email as fraudulent/spam.
📸 Take a screenshot of the email, including the sender’s address.
📩 Send the screenshot directly to us through one of our established official email addresses so that we can document and investigate it.

If you are ever unsure whether a vendor communication or payment request is legitimate, please contact us directly using an email address you have previously used to communicate with our team. Do not reply to the questionable email itself.

We are actively investigating this fraudulent activity and taking steps to protect our vendors and community.

​We are so sad to miss out on the last hurrah with everyone at Gorge Park, but we’re staying home to rest up and recover.

Important Market Update! 🥨

We’re so sorry, but we won’t be able to make it to the Gorge Market today. Unfortunately, both of us have caught a bug—and not the fun, summer-outdoor kind! We might need to run to Canadian Tire for a can of bug spray to clear these ones out before we're back in the kitchen. 🦠😷

This is definitely one of the biggest drawbacks of running a tiny local bakery: when the two of us go down, there's no backup crew to step in and sling fresh Bretzels for you!

We sincerely ask for your understanding while we rest up, recharge, and get back to 100%. We can’t wait to see you all next week for the Labor Day market!

Warning: Excessive Plum Perfection Ahead!

We went to Mars. No, seriously—we visited the lovely folks at the Mars farm to hand-pick organic plums, and we’re convinced their trees are powered by magic. We have never seen trees so loaded with flawless fruit. Not a single bad plum in sight, and even the legendary Irma Mars herself jumped in to help us harvest! These things are absolutely huge, ridiculously sweet, and basically the size of small planets. 🪐

Naturally, we turned this legendary harvest into our signature Organic Plum Cake! 🎂✨

We’ll be set up at today’s Sidney Street Market, but here’s the fair warning: these bad boys are going to fly off the table faster than a rocket ship.

Get there early, grab a slice (or three), and taste what happens when amazing local people and outrageously good fruit come together. See you there! 👇

🚨 Gorge Market Update: The Van is Sick! 🚐💔

We will see you at the Gorge Market in Esquimalt this Monday, but with a twist! Our trusty Bretzel Van caught a bug and is currently at the doctor getting a checkup. 🩺

Because our main Market member is sidelined, our menu this Monday is strictly limited to Bretzels. 🥨They are just as fresh and delicious as always!
