The Village Green Bakery is not just a bakery.
It always makes me smile when I look back at what I post on our stories each dayâbecause honestly, most of it isnât actually about the Village Green Bakery Products. Sure, you might catch a glimpse of a pretty cake or a rack of BreadâŚand yes some cookies, but I rarely focus what weâre actually making (and letâs be realâI probably should do more of this).
What I do share is the VGB team.â¨
I highlight them learning new things, taking on challenges, and growing in their role(s) every single day.â¨
I share moments of families playing in the yard behind the bakery, exploring the fairy garden, filling out worksheets, and laughing together.â¨
I promote local events that bring people together and celebrate community.
If you scroll through our feed, youâll see very few photos of bread or cookiesâand donât get me wrong, Iâm incredibly proud of the products we make. But what really matters here isnât just what we bake, itâs how we do it and the team behind it.
Itâs the effort, the learning, the decorating attempts, the teamworkâŚit is the people.â¨
Thatâs what makes our bakery special and very unique!
Every day, I tell our team how proud I am of themâand I truly am. Iâm constantly impressed by their dedication, their growth, and the heart they bring to their work.
Our bakery season is shortâonly about 92 days. For 60 of those, we go hard every single day. And while itâs not always easy, itâs a whole lot of fun. We face our fair share of challenges, but what makes us different is how we handle them: we learn, adapt, talk about them (a lot), laugh, roll our eyesâand then we move forward.
And honestly? Thatâs what makes us stronger.
As I write this, it feels a little clichĂŠââteamwork, learning, communityââbut clichĂŠs exist for a reason. Thatâs exactly what weâre about. And I wouldnât have it any other way.
