I would just like to personally extend my sincere apologies to all of our customers that have gotten in touch with us recently in order to pick up a cake the day of or the next day and we’ve been unable to fulfill these requests🙏
We are working on developing a method to provide you our cakes within a 24 hour notice and expect to be able to do so in the very near future however at this time we still require a minimum 3-4 days notice to prepare any of our cashew-based dairy free & gluten-free cakes 🎂

As promised! It is September 01, and we are back in business 😃😃

We are kicking off with our updated menu (updated flavours & choices as well as updated prices). Of course, these flavours may change as we go forward but we are sticking to these limited options as a starting point to guarantee customer satisfaction and ensure we don't get overwhelmed right from the get go!

To place orders we will now be requiring payment up front (to avoid no-shows and wasted product 😞). Our other adapted policy change is that we require a MINIMUM 4 day notice to prepare any order. We really do hope that these changes don't inconvenience you too much, but we figured that implementing these changes was better than removing our services altogether. Thank you for your understanding guys 😄

To keep it short - it won’t be short, being concise was never my forte - but I swear I’ll try.

As of September, TheCakeryMontreal will be open business and back to providing you with delicious gluten-free and dairy free cake options!

I want to apologize for all the phone calls, voicemails, Facebook/Instagram messages, emails, texts, doorbell rings that went unanswered… It was never my intention to be unreliable as the happiness of my customers and the success of their special occasions is the entire reason I started providing this service. However, life happens.

Anyhow, as of September 01 I will be taking new orders. A few days prior I will post here and on the website changes that will be made (concerning selection, prices, delivery options, reservation restrictions, etc.) so that everything is clear for everyone.

To everyone who stayed and kept following throughout our little “hiatus”, thank you. To all new and future customers, I am so very happy and thankful that you’ve made it this far in reading this post and cannot wait to supply you with the perfect cake!

🌿Did you know that figs being considered is actually debatable?

Figs begin their lifecycle as an inverted enclosed flower🌺, which means that common ways of pollination (bees, wing) aren’t possible.

As a result, figs rely on a specific type of wasp🐝 to receive their pollen. A female wasp of this type will crawl into the fig (not being able to crawl back out) and pollinate the fig flower.

Her body is then absorbed and digested by an enzyme within the fig leaving no traces whatsoever of the wasp within the fruit.

In order for a fig flower to come to fruition, a wasp inevitably must die, to provide it with pollen. Therefore, since a fig is the result of a wasps’ death, some suggest it as not being vegan.
