This special cake right here is a citrus summer cake with vanilla cake infused with lemon, filled with the most amazing citrus mousse made of citrus curd with whipped cream 🍋. Italian meringue butter cream finishes this cake off not to mention some gold lustre dust and sprinkles.✨⁣

Once upon a time I made a vow that I would never... ever do cupcakes. Anywhoo I was wrong. As more friends get married and have kids, cupcakes are definitely a different Alternative to the standard cake.
These vanilla cupcakes with Italian meringue buttercream are super easy to make and taste great (I hope lol). Basic colours and flavours are simply the best.

As I take a little break from baking over the next few weeks I’m super excited to be going to a few spots in Asia where I hope to bring some asian inspired flavours into some of my next projects!

I sometimes get asked if I had any formal training when it comes to baking and if you were able to see my cakes before you would definitely know that never had any kind of training before.

Looking back at one of the very first cakes I made and putting it beside one of my recent projects was pretty awesome. It’s amazing to see the evolution of confidence, technique and style over the past few years. From a throw pillow cake 🤣 to something more sophisticated just goes to show that practice makes perfect and hard work pays off 🙂
