Bairdmore Advisory Council We represent the parents and community voice of Bairdmore. The council is elected every year at the Annual General Meeting in September.

Our aim is to strengthen the quality of our children’s education & well-being by supporting, promoting & enhancing meaningful involvement within our school community. The council invites all parents to the monthly meetings which are typically held
on the third Tuesday evening of each month, except December, July and August. Together with the administration and the teachers, the BAC organizes fun events
such as Meet the Teacher night, Bairdmore clothing sales, special lunches for the
kids, Teacher Appreciation week, babysitting course for grade six students, and
bake sales. Fundraising has been an important function for the BAC. The purpose of fundraising is to help raise funds to enhance the school. Some of our efforts
include: the outdoor play structure, the computer lab, gym equipment, smart
boards, learning tables, hot chocolate for the patrols, landscaping around the
school, numeracy and literacy supplies, recess equipment, special visitors to the
school, and a yearly "wish list" for every classroom. The council also works with administration to maintain and improve the school’s
lunch program.

What a wonderful evening of learning, connection, and community spirit! 🥰

Our Tri-Conferences and Scholastic Book Fair were a wonderful success, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible participation and support of our students and their families!

💚 To our families, thank you for taking the time to connect with our educators, celebrate your children’s progress, and play such an active role in their educational journeys.

📖 To our young readers, we hope the Scholastic Book Fair sparked curiosity, inspired imaginations, and brought the excitement of reading to life!

A special thank you to our dedicated teachers, school administration, staff, and everyone who helped make the evening possible.

A strong school community is built through meaningful connections, shared experiences, and families who show up. 💕

In relation to the last post, we understand that Tri-Conferences can sometimes feel like a whirlwind! With a limited amount of time to connect with your child’s teacher, knowing which questions to prioritize can make all the difference.

That’s why we’ve put together our Top 5 Questions for Time-Limited Tri-Conferences! 🌟

As we prepare for our upcoming Tri-Conferences tomorrow, let’s remember that our children’s educational journeys involve so much more than grades, assignments, and academic achievements. 🌱

Today, Wednesday, October 21, we’re celebrating Take Me Outside Day, a wonderful opportunity to encourage our students to step outdoors, embrace nature, and discover the joy of learning and playing beyond the classroom walls! 🌿🍃

Whether it’s watching colourful leaves dance in the wind, exploring the wonders of nature, enjoying outdoor activities, or simply taking a moment to breathe in the fresh autumn air, there is so much to discover right outside our doors! 🍁🦋

🌳 WHY DOES OUTDOOR TIME MATTER?

Spending time outdoors encourages physical activity, sparks curiosity and creativity, supports emotional well-being, and helps children develop a deeper connection with the natural world.

There’s something extra special about seeing our Bairdmore students light up with excitement on Fun Lunch days! 🥰

But behind every successful Fun Lunch is a wonderful group of volunteers who help bring those smiles to life!

And now, we’re inviting YOU to be part of the magic! ❤️

The Bairdmore Advisory Council (BAC) is looking for enthusiastic helping hands to support our upcoming Fun Lunches!

Our first Fun Lunch of the school year!

🥤 Monday, December 7 — Booster Juice Fun Lunch

Another opportunity to make lunchtime a little more exciting for our students!

💛 HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Volunteers can assist with receiving lunch deliveries, sorting orders, organizing lunches by classroom, and helping with distribution.

Whether you can volunteer for one lunch, both lunches, or just a portion of your day, your support would mean so much!

✨ NO CONTRIBUTION IS TOO SMALL!

You don’t need to make a long-term commitment. Sometimes, simply showing up for a little while is enough to make someone’s day easier and a child’s day brighter!

Our school has limited freezer space, which makes storing fundraiser orders while maintaining their freshness a challenge.

We’re hoping some of our amazing Bairdmore families might be able to lend a hand with receiving deliveries, sorting and organizing orders, coordinating pickups, or helping us explore suitable short-term storage solutions.
