For over 15 years, weddings have been a huge part of my life.
I've been lucky enough to create cakes for hundreds of incredible couples, but I usually experience just a small chapter of their story. I deliver the cake, wish everyone a beautiful day... and then I'm off to let the celebrations unfold.
A few weeks ago, I got to experience a wedding from beginning to end.
Not as the cake designer.
Not as a vendor.
Simply as Mom.
Watching my daughter marry the love of her life was everything I imagined it would be and so much more. Joyful, emotional, overwhelming in the very best way... and a day filled with memories I'll hold close forever.
So today, I'm taking a little break from sharing cake for a well-earned mom brag. 🤍
Congratulations to the two of you on the most beautiful beginning. May your life together be filled with countless more moments worth celebrating.

Some things never get old... and creating sugar roses is one of them.
Watching each petal fade from the softest blush at the centre to creamy ivory at the edges is one of my favourite parts of the process. Every flower is shaped by hand, one petal at a time, and somehow that moment when they all come together still feels a little magical.
No matter how many roses I've made over the years, I never tire of creating them. They're still my favourite finishing touch for a timeless wedding cake.
