Nana is back! IYKYK.
We have a tradition here where we help our kids fundraise for their house building trip to Mexico coming this March. (Sophia has gone 3 times, Theo is going his 4th, and Charlie going his 2nd). It’s a fantastic experience for young people to work hard, understand their ability to impact others by doing good, while gaining perspective, and more empathy, also to be encouraged in their faith, and build friendships. The trip costs $1800 per student. This includes the materials for the houses. Usually 6-7 houses per trip. Nana helps Sweet Caroline’s with 2-3 Sweet Summer Nights Sales by frying up some delicious Yeetzkuchen. All the sales from yeetzkuchen will go towards the boys fundraising. Thank you Nana!!! We are so thankful for her and for all the support from our customers. I believe these missions have absolutely changed lives for the families in Mexico, and helped to shape my kids into who they are today.

Pictured is my husband’s breakfast this morning. I one upped him though at lunch with my toasted whole wheat seeded sourdough bread sandwich with grilled chicken, smashed avacado, sea salt and cracked pepper. No picture, because I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into in. And couldn’t stop because it was the best thing I’ve eaten in a while.

Going to mix up some sourdough tomorrow. It’s a process that takes days to develop that authentic sourdough taste through a long fermentation before baking. Comment below with what flavour and how many you would like. Pick ups start at 11:30 on Thursday till 5:00. With self serve from my front shelf available after 5:00.

I know it’s been a minute…but you guys almost emptied my freezer at the last sale! So this week I have been busy restocking my freezer. Now we are ready for another Sweet Summer Nights Sale on Friday starting a tad later at 7:00 going a tad later till 9:30. We will have ice cream sandwiches, Yeetzkuchen, and original sourdough loaves. Come for a beautiful evening out and grab some delicious treats.
