It’s Coronation season! 👑
A pivot on the usual- Coronation Grape Clafoutis grapes 🍇 Perfect pops of tangy sweetness in a creamy, egg-rich batter flan.
I was surprised by how easy this was to make so now it’s on my “Repeat Bake” list to try with the more traditional cherry filling 🍒

Really happy with how this grew from an initial idea of an ingredient and settled in it’s final form.
A few days ago I dehydrated some rose petals from my garden with the aim of using them in a recipe and this is the end result-
Cardamom & Coffee fudge elevated just that “little bit” 😉and made using Birch Bark Coffee Company “Indigenous” espresso roast beans.
Rich, heady coffee notes, delicate green citrus flavour from the cardamom- all in a sublimely creamy whipped fudge, topped with decadent chocolate, delicate rose and another pop of coffee for texture.
This one’s a keeper 👌🏼💯

Oat Berry Pie bars 🥧 …or something? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔
Wanted to use up the Haskap & Blueberry jam I made earlier in the week and ended up here pie. Red Fife Shortbread base, a layer of Haskap & Blueberry jam and topped with a pecan and oat streusel.
Not bad for a whim 👌🏼

The weekend starts here with blueberry swirl cheesecake brownies- decadent, fudgey brownies baked with vanilla cheesecake swirled with blueberry compote and studded with fresh blueberries. That is all. Carry on 👌🏼
