I get many people asking the same question "how many can you make in a day", my answer is always 'not a single one'. Making is a process that spans several weeks so... Here's a compilation clip of the processes from bisque to finish. Still not the whole story tho but you still get the last little of it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸŒž

There are just much unavoidable colour transfers during the greenware cleaning process, that after bisque firing, I have to spend some time sanding off spots and blurs of colour transfers for a more clean and defined look. I only found out I'm pretty a**l and particular about my work. My friends be like you only just found that out about yourself?! πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Having a bit of fun😚 before my most dreaded part... cleaning the greenwares before bisque firing. 😡 Why? The stains travels when wet and I have to be real careful not to get any stains on the white porcelain and vice versa, otherwise, to me it just looks dirty. the transfers of colours are inevitable with a wet sponge. As careful as I am during the process of greenware cleaning, there'll be some spots I'll miss. πŸ˜”πŸ˜”So, I also do some dry sanding on bisqueware to get the rest of the unwanted stains off. Talk about I'm a slave for you...mugs...πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚

The beginning of black and white monochromes. I truly enjoy making the marbling series due to the unpredictability patterns of the outcome. The most control I have is where I get to choose the ratio of each colours before I layered and compact them into a ball before throwing. The outcome also depends on what position I place the clay when I start throwing, follow by how I pull and push during the centering process. At this point, the only thing I know for sure is whether it'll come out a swirly or stripey pattern. But how the colours and pattern comes together will always be a surprise. I'm in control of the clay but at the same time I'm not in control. I like the organic process of how each pattern evolves into their own personality as it spins through my touch. πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

A customer's pick of a pair of contrasting mugs. (strawberry lavender + blueberry milkshake, double and single swirls 200ml) I really do love it when a customer pops by the studio to hand pick what feels right in their hands when they hold em and the initial visual attraction. Best feeling when I see them leave happy with their purchase. 🌞🌞
