Would you like the chance to win a custom cake? It’s possible by helping my vision board!
Last year I decided to create a vision board. One of the biggest challenges I gave myself was to run a full marathon when I turned 50. Well, 50 has arrived…
So... I have registered for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Sunday, October 15. I’m a little terrified, but I know I can do it. I’m not only running do me, I’m also running for a charity very close to my heart. Myles Ahead, Advancing Child & Youth Mental Health is a registered non-profit dedicated to improving mental health services and school-based programming for children, youth and their families with the ultimate goal of su***de prevention.
Myles Ahead was founded in memory of Myles Kulperger after his death by su***de at age 11 in 2018. After losing her son, Myles' mom was compelled to translate the challenges she faced trying to help him during his life to support closing the mental health system gaps and failures that they experienced.
My son was a friend and classmate of Myles. I know how wonderful he was. I also know firsthand how broken the system is. Myles' mom, Leslie, is a dear friend of mine. She works tirelessly as she devotes her life to ensure other families do not experience the same tragedy she endured.
So, here’s where the custom cake comes in. For those who donate $50 or more ($50 for 50 years, get it? 😉) will be entered into a random draw to WIN a custom cake from Cinnabean Cakes.
So if you want to support my training, a great cause, and get the chance to receive a custom cake, see link in comments.
