For this week’s Throwback Thursday, Margo tells us:
“This reminds me of singing with Craig and how he taught our edah a new song from his friend David Broza. It was ‘יהיה טוב’ [Yihye Tov]. It had fewer verses than it does today.

I loved Kabbalat Shabbat at camp. Singing together by the Bamah was so special!”

Torah Fund Changes Lives: Hear Our Stories

Join us on Sunday, November 1, from 12:00–1:30 pm ET for a special program highlighting the impact of the Torah Fund campaign of Women's League for Conservative Judaism through the personal stories of four rabbinical students.

Students from The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in Los Angeles, and The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary in Jerusalem will share their journeys to rabbinical school and how Torah Fund scholarships have helped make their dreams possible. Several of the panelists have worked at Ramah camps - Camp Ramah in Canada, Camp Ramah in Northern California.

The program will conclude with a moderated Q&A.

We’re kicking off a brand-new throwback series with Avi Hyman, a former Ramah staff member.

“I will be eternally grateful to Karen for teaching me to solo canoe; I’m not sure I could do it any more, but at the time, I felt a real sense of accomplishment doing something that was very much new to me. Last I heard, I think, Karen lives out west. I hope she’s doing great!”
