People ask how we fit a business around a 9 to 5…

We taught a bread masterclass to a couple celebrating her birthday and their anniversary at the same time. Prepped dough, taught for hours, cleaned a kitchen at the end of it. Technically that’s work. It has never once felt like it.

The rest of the weekend was sketching, the lake, a sandwich place we found by accident, and summer specials before they disappear for the year.

If you’re building something on the side, that’s the part worth chasing. Not the free time. The kind of work you’d choose to do on a Friday night anyway.
