Ever make something more complicated than it has to be?

I have to say, I'm terrible for it! I'm here looking at my bread shed and it's been sitting here all summer and not being used!

That being said, we are going to simplify our dates and where we are going to be!

For almost the whole month of September, we are going to be back at the Bread Shed Mini Market!

September 12th (9am-3 pm) (Balloon Fiesta)
September 19th (9am-1pm)
September 26th (9am-1pm)
October 3rd (9am-1pm)

You can Pre Order to hold your favourite sourdough or come see what else is at the shed! Even our youngest bakers are excited to help stock the shed with their creations!

I almost took a picture of the shed without the toys in the background, but truthfully, i wanted it in the picture too....

I just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to see me at the Cobblers Lane markets in June and July. I've been humbled and honoured at how far people have travelled and heard how far my bread has travelled with them! Every loaf bought, every kind word, every familiar face that came looking for my table… I appreciate it more than you know.

I made the decision earlier this summer to take August away from regular markets. With fall coming, I knew our family needed some slower days together and I needed some time to get our home and routines ready for another school year.

This year is different. You see my last baby goes to school too... it feels like the end of a very special chapter in some ways, but if you see the odd tears, you'll know why 😉

As much as I love growing The Bread Box House, meeting new faces and familiar, I never want growing a business to come at the expense of the reason I started it in the first place.

These kids, this family, is my why.

I bake from home so I can be here. So I can raise them, teach them, make supper, hear about their days, step over toys in the yard, and be present for this season that I know won't last forever.

Sometimes growing a business means saying yes to more and sometimes it means being okay with saying not right now.

I'm learning that choosing my family isn't falling behind, but i am still choosing the life I actually wanted when I started all of this.

So thank you for supporting this little bakery and, in turn, supporting the life we're building behind it. ❤️

I'm not going anywhere — in fact I've got some new creations to share with you soon, but you'll just be finding me in a few different places this fall!
