This buttercream cake featured fresh raspberries, and we loved how that subtle pop of red tied into the overall decor without feeling too matched.

When we talk through wedding design with our couples, there’s often an instinct to make every detail perfectly match the colour palette. But sometimes, contrast creates a much stronger moment.

For this celebration, the decor was rich in red and black, so keeping the cake white gave us the perfect canvas. It stood out beautifully against the setting instead of blending in, while the raspberries connected it back to the rest of the design.

The result was a cake that felt cohesive while still having its own presence as the centerpiece.
