I had a lovely message this morning from someone who noticed there was no traditional pre market menu post last night. I told him that honestly I felt like what I had was a bit boring this week and even more honestly than that, I had something really nice planned for today that I hadn’t done for a long while. Long story short, it was a complete fail (my fault)…realized early on I had scanned the recipe too quickly and was already on the wrong track. Rather than doing the sensible thing and start over, I tried to pivot and save what I had already done with the ingredients. So as a wise person once said, play silly games, win silly prizes. It was obviously a complete disaster and waste of expensive ingredients so I was crabby and petulant and comforted myself with The Office. The end.
If you’re still reading this self pitying story I’ll reward you with what actually will be on the table today…of course cranberry scones, wild blueberry scones, frosted vanilla sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, cranberry scones and floral shortbread. ❤️
