There’s nothing quite like the aroma of Hot Cross Buns drifting through the bakery. Or fresh Sourdough loaves, classic French Baguettes, delectable Sweet & Savoury Croissants, mouth-watering Ginger cookies, or fan-favorite Blueberry Lemon Glazed Scones (Jalapeno Cheddar and Chocolate Hazelnut too!). Thank you Buy BC for featuring True Grain Bakehouse in your recent TV ad campaign. The full day shoot was a lot of fun, and the kids were an absolute blast! And the cause is something we're very passionate about, especially at this time. In 2016, we made a firm commitment to bake with only organic BC-farmed and BC-milled flour. And not just with white flour and whole wheat flour, but with ancient grain varieties like Einkorn, Emmer, Khorasan, Spelt, Rye, and Canada's darling Red Fife Heritage wheat. Today we're proud to extend our product line far beyond loaves, pastries, & cookies/crackers to include pizza doughs, pastas, pancake mixes, bagels, even tortillas. We invite you to stop by True Grain Bakehouse in downtown Summerland to experience a true taste of local farming, local milling, and local craft baking. Stone-milled, BC-grown organic Red Fife Heritage Wheat provides the perfect foundation for a refined balance of ginger and organic sugar, with the warmth of molasses infused throughout. Stollen is a classic German Christmas cake, characterized by its rich marzipan core. We use 100 % BC-farmed and BC-milled organic flour, to which we add rum-soaked organic Thompson raisins, organic almonds, and our own candied organic lemons and organic oranges. We seal in the flavour with organic butter and organic sugar while still hot from the oven. Stollen improves as it ages and will be at peak flavour in time for your holiday entertaining. Choose from Classic, Dresden Style, and BC Spelt. Simply dust with organic icing sugar (provided) and serve. We're proud to carry on hundreds of years of handcrafted history in our bakeries, and to share our creations with you. Season's Greetings to all!
