We are packed and getting ready to soon set up . Tomorrow is the big day! Saturday October 4th
10-4 $5 admission. Kids free. Food, DJ and a whole lotta vintage lovely.
Things to remember:
1) Cash is king. Most vendors accept tap and etransfer. But bring cash! And lots of it.
2) Bring those reusable bags! We are trying to reduce reuse and recycle. That’s what vintage is all about! Save the planet and buy sustainable!
3) Tomorrows temp is in the 30s ( dress in something cool with comfortable shoes)
4) All of our wonderful vendors have curated every single piece at their booth, they are knowledgeable and have spent countless hours putting together everything at their booth. Please respect pricing.
5) Bring cash ( see what I did there?) There is no ATM on site, so hit the bank before you head over.
6) And last but not least, have fun. Buy the dress. Buy the hat. Buy the piece of art work. Because there is no regret like the vintage you did not buy.

Ontario peaches in August means baking. Peach and Blueberry cobbler with Madagascar vanilla sugar. The Joy of Cooking has all the classics. Originally published in 1931, it’s come a long way with various editions. 🍑🍑🫐

We are up to our eyeballs in vintage goodies and are getting super excited for this upcoming vintage filled weekend! Saturday May 31st A few tips and things to remember when shopping vintage markets!
1) Bring CASH
2) Bring reusable bags
3) Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Something easy to slip things over as sometimes there are longer lines for fitting rooms!
4) A good attitude! Vintage Shows are filled with vendors that have curated collections, who have taken the time to collect and research what they are selling. Vintage shows are not flea markets. Respect pricing.
5) Ask sellers questions. Most if not all vintage sellers love to talk about vintage, and most are happy to answer any questions you may have about what they are selling!
Looking forward to seeing those returning and new faces who are also lovers of all things vintage!

I stumbled upon this today at my local VV. Yes, that’s two price tags on the same item. One from MCC Thrift and the other jacked up over 50% by “Value” Village.
As a reseller and someone who buys about 95% of their families clothing at thrift stores, so I can do my part for the environment and not produce more textile waste, this brings an all new level of low to this establishment.
If you’re going to charge more $$$ for items, VV, start to look over garments. I don’t mind buying used quality items for more than $10. What I don’t like is having to go through dirty clothing. Clothing with huge stains. Clothing with holes. Clothing with rips and tears. Clothing with 30 year old sweat stains in the pits for $35.00…..If you’re going to up your prices as an establishment that is making a profit, at least make sure the things you are tagging are wearable to the customer purchasing them.
Oh and possibly take the tags off the item from the previous thrift store so I don’t have to see $ for $ how much you are ripping people off. Do better.

It’s quite cold outside. The garden is asleep and I’m dreaming of spring time. However, a beautiful Christmas Amaryllis is showing all of her glory in my dining room. Spring will eventually come, but until then I will take the blooms of orchids and amaryllis.

We are all set up and ready for tomorrow! Come out to tomorrow 10-4 Saturday September 28th . I am sharing the wonderful side room just off the main door with the lovely ! We have loads of beautiful things just waiting for you. So, put those comfortable shoes on, grab your reusable bags and some cash and we will see you all tomorrow!
