✨ The side of the bakery you DON’T usually see on social media… ✨

Let’s be honest — social media is full of the pretty stuff. The fresh loaves coming out of the oven, beautiful pastries, full display cases and all the things we’re proud to show you.

But there’s a whole other side of the bakery that doesn’t get nearly enough credit…

THE DISHES. 😂

And we are seriously kicking ourselves for not bragging about our dishwasher sooner, because she is the ULTIMATE ROCKSTAR. ⭐️

To be completely honest, this place would come to a screeching halt without her. There is absolutely NO way we could keep up with the amount of production we do without someone behind the scenes tackling the never-ending mountain of dishes.

And every time she walks in and sees the pile waiting for her, I’m always like, “I’m so sorry…I know there is a lot…” 🥲

She just laughs, rolls up her sleeves and gets to work. Not a single complaint.

Sometimes I look at this mountain of dishes and think, this poor woman… we’re asking way too much of her. 🫠 But she somehow makes it disappear.

The truth is, the people doing the jobs that aren’t glamorous are often the people keeping the whole operation moving.

So here’s the nitty gritty, dirty, VERY REAL side of bakery life that you don’t usually see on social media. 👀

Behind every beautiful display case is someone washing mixing bowls, dough bins, sheet pans, scrapers, coffee cups and approximately 7,000 things that somehow got dirty in the last hour when she’s doing her final wipe down. 😅

Without the person doing the dishes, we would be completely at a loss.

We genuinely could not do what we do without you.

Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, your incredible attitude and for keeping us from drowning in dirty dishes. ❤️

We are SO lucky to have you on our team.

Today, the spotlight is on the real bakery MVP. 🏆

As we work into the night getting ready for the farmers market, we have decided to appease the spirits…

We offer them our most PERFECT loaf of sourdough as sacrifice 🥖🕯️

May the moon accept this humble offering.
May our dough rise.
May our ovens cooperate.
May nobody forget the market signs.
And PLEASE, for the love of all things fermented, may we not run out of butter. 😂
