A baker’s brain at 4:30 a.m. 😂

Normal people: “Why am I awake? I need to go back to sleep.”

Me: “WAIT. I KNOW WHY THE CINNAMON RIBBON DIDN’T SPREAD RIBBONS EVENLY THROUGHOUT.”

So there I am, lying in the dark before the sun is even up, mentally reworking how I laminate my cinnamon raisin bread because apparently my brain has decided this is the perfect time to troubleshoot bread.

By 5 a.m. I’ve solved the cinnamon ribbon problem and hand-washed 16 bannetons.

Because apparently a baker’s brain does not believe in business hours. 😂🍞

NEW this week only— Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough 🍞✨

I only made a very limited batch of these for tomorrow’s Campbellford Farmers’ Market, and after cutting one open for quality control… I may regret not making more. 😂

Soft sourdough crumb, plump raisins, and ribbons of cinnamon throughout — absolutely delicious toasted with butter, and even better with a little cheddar on the side.

I’ll have just a few available, so if you want one, come early.

It was a great day at Campbellford Farmers Market today- not only did I go home without any sourdough, but I came home with these goodies! Thank you Greenlyre Gardens, Wild Lot Distillery, Cassalman's Maple Syrup and everyone who brought, came, and supported today!
