Cameron Shipyards Ltd. Ship building in Stewiacke, NS Cameron Shipyards Ltd. was a former shipbuilding company in the 1800's out of Maitland.

Evan and Nick's great grandmother, Katie Belle Cameron (maiden name), married Albert Densmore. They resided in Riverside, Colchester County. Katie Belle's father was Arthur Cameron, and he was of the original Cameron Shipyards Ltd.

The engines are back in place, and the drives are back in and installed.
Repairs to the rudder has been completed.( the lightning went to ground through the metal rudder.)

Progressing well.

Katie Belle is in the Lunenburg shipyard, being repaired.

She was hit by lightning 7/21/2023 during the big rain storm.

The strike destroyed all the electronics including the boat command alarm system.

Lightning also damaged a fl**ge gasket, which allowed water to enter the engine compartment and cover the engines.

She was towed to Lunenburg, her masts removed for inspection for lightning damage, and is now on a stand.

The engines are being removed for repair.

When she will be back home in Bedford will depend on what damage is found.
