Hold onto your hats people, big announcement 📣
After a lot of thought (and honestly, a lot of emotions), I’ve made the decision that Katie Bakes will no longer be accepting new orders moving forward.
Katie Bakes isn’t just a side hustle. It’s years of late nights, decorating cookies after the kids are asleep, problem-solving, learning, building a reputation, making people happy, and proving to myself that I could create something successful.
This little business has been such a huge part of our family’s life, and I truly cannot thank you all enough for the support over the years. You trusted me with your birthdays, weddings, baby showers, holidays, and celebrations big and small, and that has meant more to me than you know.
Right now, our family is preparing for a big life transition. Our house will be hitting the market in June, and we will be making our way to the coast for a slower, simpler, more aligned season of life. Will I still do cookies after I relocate? Most likely!! I just need to have a house first 😅
Because of all of the moving pieces ahead, I’ve realized I need to take something off my plate and create some breathing room for our family during this transition.
Don’t worry, I will still be completing current orders, but I won’t be taking on anything new at this time.
For anyone with orders booked after July 1st, I’ll be reaching out individually to discuss options, either cancelling with plenty of notice, or arranging for earlier pickup with freezing instructions where possible.
This decision has been incredibly hard, because Katie Bakes has truly been built by this community. I’m endlessly grateful for every order, every kind message, every referral, and every person who supported this dream over the years. 🤍
