Bonus of having a baker in the house - this was our dessert tonight because Emily felt like practicing gum paste flowers. 💗
This cake consisted of three layers of moist chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
These roses are made out of gum paste. Each petal is individually rolled, cut and moulded. The flowers are then dusted with a powdered food colour pigment to achieve the realistic colouring.
The sugar shards at the back of the cake are hand poured lollipop that have been dusted with edible gold.
