Coldest Night of the Year

Tomorrow; Nov 28th is Giving Tuesday. I will be attending the Salvation Army Kettle at Scotia Bank from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. With the high cost of food today it is difficult for so many to put food on the table. Food banks are overwhelmed. Every little bit helps.
I will be handing out Kitchen Smidgen cookies to hopefully put smiles on our community faces.
My Giving Tuesday contribution:
For the 2 hours I am collecting I will MATCH whatever is donated.

It’s been awhile since I have posted anything. Scott and myself have been unavailable to do much of anything. We have lost 4 family members in 5 months.
This is probably the last opportunity to grab some Kitchen Smidgen Baked goods. I will not be doing any Christmas orders this year.

I hope you can still get tickets for The St.Mary’s Hoedown tonight at the St.Marys Golf Club, starts at 6:00. Proceeds for the United Way;
Nourish Equal Access Food Market and the St. Marys community developer support worker.
Check out some of the treats available to bid on. If you have been missing our oatcakes, here is the chance to pick some up and support a great cause as well.

Haven’t had much time to bake lately with everything going on, but I did have this order for a Lemon Curd cake that I did for a special birthday.

Mother’s Day Dessert: Strawberry Tiramisu.
Well I did have to make my own dessert- BUT my wonderful children treated me to brunch and beautiful flowers.

I know this is odd to post on our bakery page but I know so many of you out there always appreciated my husbands(Scott) warm welcome and friendly service at the bakery. Our family has had another terrible loss. Scott and his brother went home to Windsor to care for their mom while his father was recovering from major heart surgery. Last week his brother VERY unexpectedly died.
Please keep your thoughts and prays in mind for Scott, he needs some positive energy right now.
