We have a beautiful local Blueberry vanilla layer cake slice and our new overnight white bread.

Our cake is 6 thin layers of our beautiful vanilla cake, soaked in vanilla bean syrup,, 6 layers of vanilla bean buttercream and 5 layers of local blueberry compote.

Our overnight white is a new 24 hour fermented bread with a beautiful mature taste and thin crispy crust.

We are open this morning and we are filled up with some really amazing baked goods.

Lots and lots of Blueberry items including scones, cruffs, cakes and cheesecakes and soon tarts. Raspberry Chocolate scones also available today to try keep you all in scones.

We have two kinds of brekkie sandwiches, both on biscuits with spinach dip, tomato and cheese and either our own sausage patty or bacon.

We will be working on some really nice things today and for the rest of the week and trying to stay as full as we possibly can.

The blueberry deliciousness continues with these beautiful Vanilla Blueberry Cakes. 3 layers of Vanilla cakes with a thickened blueberry filling all filled up with our very sought after Vanilla Bean Buttercream.

A quick note on cakes, we are fully booked for cakes for this weekend already, a surprise to us. We will however be making as many cakes as we possibly can to fill existing orders and fill the store the best we can.

Then.....we will be taking a few weeks break on cakes for staff vacation. The store will be open without any disruptions but the menu will be different. More details on that one later though.

The treats keep a comin'!

Jenny's new cinnamon butter cookies are back in as well as lots of other cookies, Newfoundland Blueberry filled Cruffs, Banoffee Tarts and a brand new bread.

Our new 'Overnight White' is a 24 hour fermented bread that's made with 100% unbleached white flour, yeast, honey, salt and water. The 24 hour fermentation gives it a maturity that's hard to beat, perfect for toast or a hearty sandwich, a real and proper white bread similar to something you'd find in Europe.

We are very soon to be open and folks, it's season in !!!

Just so you know our blueberries are always wild, organic Canadian blueberries, but now and for the next while we have proper Newfoundland ones. 50 gallons in fact! So, expect lots of Blueberries the next while as we have to make room for partridgeberries eventually.

Lots of breads and pastries and cookies and so much more and we'll get back at it now and keep working to fill the shelves.

We're open 7am-12pm on Wednesdays and you can call ahead at 709 579 0125 to have something put by.

We are open this morning at 7am and we made it to Saturday folks!

Saturday means all of our breads are available today, the longest list of pastries we make are available too and more.

Beef sausage breakfast sandwiches made on croissants with sausages coming from Halliday's available this morning.

We have some cakes and will have some more later, working on pies and tarts next.

We have some great desserts now available. Not only do we have Cruffs and Flakies but we also have a brand new Flakie pastry we've tried.
