I am taking a little break from baking , to refresh, renew, take care of my phyisical and mental wellness, and catch up some stuff that has been ignored.

I know I will be missing my starter “Amour” and I will be itching to bake when I am away on holiday.

But when I am back in Sept, I will be ready to create and to bake new sourdough goodies for you all.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our “LOVE at FIRST BITE” – 100 Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls Fundraiser!

Together, we raised $611 from our cinnamon roll sales for the Canadian Red Cross 2026 British Columbia Wildfires Appeal.

And here’s the BEST part… 🎉

Our donation is eligible to be matched 2X, which means our $611 becomes $1,222 in support of those affected by the BC wildfires! ❤️🇨🇦

What an incredible way to wrap up our market day!

A huge thank you to our community, friends, and neighbours who supported our 100 Cinnamon Rolls Fundraiser for the 2026 British Columbia Wildfires Appeal — whether you came by personally, shared our fundraiser with others, or encouraged friends and family to stop by.

🍥 100 cinnamon rolls — SOLD OUT in just 2.5 hours! Raised $611. And a generous donor will match 2x, that is $1,222 donated to BC wild fire appeal.

Thank you to every one of you who stopped by our booth and grabbed a roll (or a couple!). My kids were absolutely thrilled by the positive response. They put so much hard work into preparing and baking all 100 cinnamon rolls, and seeing the community come out to support their effort made it even more meaningful. ❤️

A special thank you to our wonderful guest helpersAmelia & Jocelyn, who joined us during the baking process and helped us out at today’s market. We truly appreciated the extra pair of hands!

And one more special thank you to White Rock Mayor Megan Knight, who stopped by our booth and supported us by picking up a few of our sourdough baked goodies, cinnamon roll too of course. My kids were so excited to have her visit! 🥰

We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity shown by our community. Every roll helped make a difference.

🥚 Prep has officially started for Sunday! 🤎

We’re getting ready to bake 100 sourdough cinnamon rolls for our Love at First Bite fundraiser this Sunday at the White Rock Farmers’ Market!

Today’s first stop: Campbell Valley Farm to pick up lots of their beautiful farm-fresh eggs. And these are TRUE large eggs! 😂 Has anyone else noticed that the “large” eggs at the supermarket seem to be getting smaller and smaller?

We love using fresh, local ingredients whenever we can — especially for a day that’s all about giving back to our community. ❤️

100 classic cinnamon rolls. One Sunday. Love at First Bite.
