Junibel's Bakery I’m Chelsey Mohns, founder of Junibel’s Bakery, named after my daughters.

What began as a love of baking grew into a cozy microbakery known for soft pretzels and European-inspired treats. Hello, My name Is Chelsey Mohns, I am a mum to 2 wonderful girls Juniper & Mabel and the mastermind behind Junibel's Bakery

Hello everyone!!

We’ve got a fun weekend ahead, and I’m so excited to share what we’ve got planned!

SATURDAY | Merrickville Country Market | 10 AM – 4 PM

We’re BACK!! After a busy summer hiatus, we’re finally making our return to the Merrickville Country Market, and we can’t wait to see some familiar faces!

We’ll be bringing along all your Junibel’s favourites, from our soft pretzels and apple strudel to cookies, croissant pastries, focaccia bread and more!

SUNDAY | Kemptville Farmers’ Market | 11 AM – 3 PM

Now, Sunday is where things get a little extra exciting!!

With the cooler weather settling in, I thought it was about time we brought a little warmth to the market… literally!

For the first time at Kemptville, we’ll have our pretzel warmer up and running, which means you can enjoy your favourite Junibel’s soft pretzels warm and ready to snack on while you wander the market!

A little heads-up: We won’t be in our usual spot this Sunday! You’ll find us along the back side of the market with the other food vendors, so come find us!

There’s just something about a warm, soft pretzel on a crisp fall day that feels like a perfect combination, don’t you think?

We can’t wait to see you this weekend!

Hello everyone!!

I’m still a little giddy over this one!

Our recent catering debut at Gemmell's Garden Centre fashion show was just the beginning of something pretty exciting!

First, a huge thank you to Jacqueline Marie Photography for these gorgeous shots of our treats from the event!

And now we get to officially share that Junibel's Bakery treats have found a new home at The Flower Cup, Gemmell’s brand new in-house café!

We dropped off some fresh cookies and streusel kuchen today, and I can’t tell you how exciting it is to see our little bakery growing in this way!

So next time you’re browsing Gemmell’s, grab a coffee and a little something sweet from The Flower Cup!

Running a small business is a whole lot of hard work, a little chaos and plenty of very long days, but I wouldn’t trade the opportunity to share something I love with all of you.

Good morning, everyone!!

We’re back at the Kemptville Farmers’ Market today from 11–3!

We had an absolute blast yesterday at Fall for Merrickville! What a wonderful day filled with familiar faces, new customers and so much support! We had such a great time being part of it, and we’re already crossing our fingers that we get to come back next year!

Now, onto round two of our Thanksgiving market weekend!

We’re bringing along our full Thanksgiving menu again today, with everything you saw yesterday at Merrickville!

The only little change is that we’ll also have our Toffee Apple Pretzel Bites making an appearance!

Hello hello, proof of life over here!

I promise I survived last weekend. Barely, but we made it.

After a very full few days of markets, catering, Oktoberfest and a whole lot of baking, I gave myself a couple quieter days to regroup, catch up around the house and remind myself what day it was.

But we’re back at it this weekend!

I’ll be bringing along lots of soft pretzels, pastries and some cozy fall goodies for the weekend.

It also feels VERY strange not prepping for a Friday Smiths Falls market this week, but don’t worry, we’re still very much here. Market season is definitely not over for Junibel’s yet, and we have lots more dates coming up right through December.

For now, I’m enjoying the tiny breather before the flour starts flying again.

A little change of pace for us today!

This morning I’m making a special delivery to Gemmell's Garden Centre for their fashion show here in Smiths Falls, with a selection of Junibel’s treats heading along for the event.

After a very full weekend, including last night’s Oktoberfest, I’m more than ready to slow things down a little and spend the rest of today with my girls.

A reminder that I will NOT be at the Kemptville Farmers Market , Sunday, October 4, but I’ll be back next weekend!

For now, one last bakery delivery and then I am officially clocking out for some much-needed family time.

Well… WE DID IT.

Somehow, our little oven and I survived baking all 250 pretzels for Kemptville Oktoberfest tonight, and I am equal parts relieved and SO excited!!

The pretzels are cooling, the cookies are packed, the dips are portioned and we are officially ready to roll!

Tonight’s lineup:

Soft Pretzels
• Classic Salted
• Maple Bourbon Toffee
• B**r Braised Onion

Cookies
• Chocolate Dipped Shortbread
• Black Forest

And for everyone with tickets, you’ll have access to our complimentary dip bar!

• B**r Braised Onion Jam made with 4 degrees brewery Märzen b**r
• Maple Bourbon B**r-Infused Caramel Sauce made with 4 Degrees Brewing Co. Maple Bourbon B**r
• Classic Yellow Mustard
• Grainy Dijon

There is a whole lot of 4 Degrees Brewing & Distilling b**r worked into tonight’s menu, a whole lot of pretzels coming with us, and one VERY relieved baker who cannot believe she actually got all 250 of them baked.

We are so stoked for tonight and cannot wait to see everyone at Kemptville Oktoberfest!
