This is a very non baking related post, so if you are just here for the cookies, its perfectly fine to scroll on by...but many of you have been with me since day one of the micro bakery and have been interested in some of the personal story of how I came to open a micro bakery.
Some of you on here also know me through Reiki⦠and some of you only know me through my little micro bakery⦠and Iāve realized I may need to formally introduce these two worlds because they both very much belong to me.
So hi, Iām Charlene, and I do both Reiki and baking from home. Both, are as much a part of me as breathing!
Now hereās the funny part⦠years ago, after working in the food industry and being completely burned out, by very busy kitchen jobs, I said I would never want to cook for a living again. And I meant it in that moment. I was tired in every possible way.
Fast forward to now, and here I am happily baking again⦠just in a very different way and from a very different place in my life.
And yes, Iāve had a few people kindly remind me of that old statement like itās a permanent contract I signed with the universe.
But I think we forget something important sometimesāwe change. We heal. We grow. We try things again, but with new boundaries, new energy, and a completely different version of ourselves.
What drained me then doesnāt define me now.
And honestly, life would be pretty boring if we were only allowed to be one version of ourselves forever.
So I guess this is me saying: Iām the Reiki person, Iām the bakery person⦠and sometimes Iām both on the same day, probably covered in flour and talking about energy fields at the same time.
And Iāve decided Iām okay with that.
