Well that’s a damn good thing since you’ll need some super strength to carry this 3 tier chocolate cake that’s filled with salted caramel buttercream, and decorated in vanilla marshmallow fondant 💪🏼

Whenever I think of chocolate cake, I think of Bruce Bogtrotter being forced to eat Miss Trunchbull’s chocolate cake. I always craved it after watching that scene…anyone else??

There’s no shortage of chocolate in this cake. It features:

🍫6” triple decker chocolate cake
🍫filled with chocolate hazelnut buttercream on the inside
🍫frosted with chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream on the outside
🍫chocolate ganache drip
🍫decorated with chocolate hazelnut shavings and chocolate sprinkles

Highly suggest having a glass on milk with this one!

Feeeed me Seymour! Venus flytrap macs! 🪰

When the request was “carnivorous plants” I obviously had to make my favourite plant of all time!

Fun facts about Venus flytraps that no one asked for but I think they’re awesome so you’re getting them anyway:

🪰They are only found in North and South Carolina in bog-like environments and need to grow in really sh*tty, low quality soil and because of that they get their nutrients from eating insects
🪰They have super slow digestion (same) and it can take up to 10 days to fully digest their meal
🪰The longer they go without a meal, the redder they become (same) - for me it’s hanger, but for them it’s to attract more bugs 🤷🏻‍♀️
🪰They can’t digest exoskeletons so once the trap reopens, they spit out the bones

How many maca-wrongs does it take to make a maca-right?

I wouldn’t have have had anything nice to say if you asked me that yesterday, but now, after failing batch after batch after batch (repeat that about 15 more times) I can say with a teenie bit of confidence that I’ve learned a thing or two about the macaron making process and how to keep them from ending up in the garbage!

The biggest shoutout ever goes to for her advice with the Swiss meringue, macaronage in the stand mixer, and no rest method. You have restored my faith in my mac making skills 👊🏼👊🏼

Practise makes progress people!! 🤸🏻‍♀️
