As I sit here looking at all of these wins, I am almost at a loss for words.

Almost.

But you all know me—if I ever stop talking, you’ll know I’m done and gone. 😂

Twelve Platinum, eleven Gold, three Silver, one Bronze and one Top Pick—28 awards altogether. That is some right insanity.

What means the most to us is that this wasn’t one judge making a call. This was you—our neighbours, friends and customers—showing up for us again and again and choosing our business. You see the early mornings, the scratch baking, the family behind the counter, the cafĂ© kitties, the community work and the enormous heart inside this building.

More than anything I can write, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every one of you for your continued support of our family’s little dream.

Thyne’s Family Bakery has always been an evolving vision, and you have seen us through every version of it. Years ago, one of our longtime customers said to me:

“This place is powered by East Coast stubbornness, Northern heart and a questionable amount of butter. As long as you’re here, I’ll keep showing up.”

And he has.

You all have.

Baking is a hot, strenuous, long-hours kind of trade. At times, it can feel all-consuming—but it is also the work I love. It brings me joy. Being able to do what I love alongside the people I love—and then to be recognized for it by our own community—is something truly incredible.

We don’t come in for a few hours and make a handful of things to sell. On any given day, our little team produces hundreds—sometimes thousands—of individual products over twelve straight hours. During our busiest weeks, our cake department alone can produce more than 100 cakes.

We are not a large grocery store with a huge staff behind us. We are a small family and a small, hardworking team. Everything here is made through scratch baking. It takes real time, real effort, a whole lot of determination and some exceptionally strong coffee.

But no matter how busy the day becomes, I will always meet you at the counter with a smile and a genuine curiosity about how you have been.

Because in a world that is becoming increasingly franchised, automated and computerized, connection still matters.

Thank you for trusting us with your birthdays, weddings, celebrations, fundraisers, family traditions and ordinary Wednesday mornings. Thank you for supporting our bakery, embracing our ever-evolving ideas and loving our café kitties. For watching our little ones grow up behind the counter with out judgement.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special days—and thank you for being such an important part of ours.
