I thought I would post something quite different today… Mostly you hear from me about our bread and baking. Chris is the Baker, and I am the photographer/promoter. This month, at The Hub, the little café at the Country Grocer on Salt Spring Island, I have five photos displayed. Come on by and have a look! (no bread, this time!)

Are you missing us? We've decided that we had to change our business model… Now we put only croissants and our muffins out on the stand on Fridays. The big push for us is the Saturday market.

However, for local people, if you come right away at 9 o'clock, you can beat the crowds and get the best selection from our vast array of products. We are now producing five different kinds of sourdough bread, four different kinds of croissant, two kinds of cinnamon buns, cookies, other breads and pizza rolls. As they say for a certain company in Ontario, "we're worth the drive!"

We're changing it up a little bit… Sometimes we haven't bothered to put our sign up because we put it up at the back of the tent and then it's hidden by all the trays of baking that we bring… So, we've decided we're going to put it at the front of our table. We think it might be more visible. Let us know what you think, especially if you come to the market!

Day-old bread $5. We had a few loaves left over from our market day. Come on by. We have Anna Dama, roasted malt whole-grain bread, and one rye bread. 
Also on the stand: DVDs. At this point, take what you like, leave a donation or take them for free. 
(Bread will be on the stand by 11 am)

We are taking a break for a week. There won't be anything on the stand this Friday nor will we be at the market. But we will be back on the 29th at our stand and the 30th at the market. Look for us then!
