The Salty Baker stand is fully stocked today, but it’s going to be our last Friday Bread Day for a little while! We are taking a few weeks off to do some very exciting kitchen renovations. 🛠️✨

As much as I’d love to, I can't bake and renovate at the same time! We will be back in action and participating in the Canada Day Farm Stand Festival, so today is your last chance to grab your favorites before July 1st!

Because it’s our last Friday for a bit, I’ve made lots of goodies to pack the stand today:

The Salty Baker stand is fully stocked today, but it’s going to be our last Friday Bread Day for a little while! We are taking a few weeks off to do some very exciting kitchen renovations. 🛠️✨

After plenty of recipe testing to nail the exact flour ratios so they bake up nice and thick without spreading flat, the star of the week is finally here: Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies! They are finally here, and I couldn't be more thrilled with how these turned out! 🍪✨

Meet the newest addition to the Salty Baker menu: the Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookie. I’ve been testing and tweaking this recipe over multiple batches to get the structure absolutely perfect—ensuring they bake up beautifully thick and chewy without spreading.

There is nothing quite like taking a classic and elevating it. Here is the magic behind the ultimate bite:

🧈 Brown Butter: The absolute star of the show! It gives the dough an incredibly deep, rich, caramel-like flavor.

🌾 Sourdough: Adds the perfect amount of moisture to create an intensely fudgy center, while beautifully balancing the sweetness of the chocolate.
