Surgery complete. Home and resting.

This afternoon, I had an oophorectomy. A procedure to remove my ovaries and keep estrogen out of my body so my cancer doesn’t come back.

Laparoscopic surgeries are pretty incredible these days. I went in for surgery at 12 noon and was in the car driving home before 2pm. Everything went exactly as planned, am I’m home and resting now. I’ll be laying low for a couple weeks to heal, but will see you all very soon.

One procedure done, a couple more coming up in the coming months.

Thanks for caring and staying up to date. I’ll give updates along the way on this crazy cancer journey that just keeps on going.

Our time in our retail space has come to an end. This space has served as an incredible space to grow Seed over the last 8 years.
Today, we close the doors and prepare…..
TO MOVE NEXT DOOR AND POP UP MONTHLY IN OUR INNOVATION KITCHEN.

Seed is not closing. We have some new projects coming up, so we are returning to once a month pop ups. Please watch our feed to stay up to date on the next one.

Change isn’t always easy, but it’s the only way to grow. We are ready to change and create growth in our tiny retail space for another new business.

More updates to come, I’m bringing you along with us the whole time!

It’s our last week in our retail shop!

We will be open Wednesday to Friday 10-6, and Saturday (Valentine’s Day) 10-3.

We will be going back to popups after that, so don’t worry, just the shop is closing, not the business.

Our retail shop is closing - but Seed IS NOT!

You read that right, SEED CONFECTIONS will NOT be closing, we are simply changing. Our retail shop is being under-utilized. We want to make it a space that can be used and enjoyed everyday, so we are ready to step aside to make space for another opportunity.

So what about Seed? We are going to start using our innovation kitchen for MONTHLY POP-UPs.
This will give us the chance to have more products available when we are open. We also work with multiple farms and businesses to make products for them, none of that is changing!

This coming spring, I have 2 surgeries and 1 procedure that will require no physical work for a while. This is all just a part of the journey for me and so here we are again making changes.

This community’s support over the last 10 years (Yes, this fall is our 10 year business anniversary) has literally saved my life, in so many ways. I am not going anywhere. Seed is not going anywhere. We are just going to start using all that Seed really has to offer.

Thank you. For all of it. The support. The love. The community that has built around me. Thank you. I really hope you continue to follow along and stop by monthly to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Saturday February 14th will be our last day open in our retail shop! And this is your friendly reminder - THAT’S VALENTINE’S DAY!

Trust me when I say, you will see me around. I’m so excited for this next chapter and adventure in life!

Hey … are you ready for pink and red season?

These are flower bonbons we designed a couple years ago as part of a Mother’s Day collection. Using a one stroke painting technique, you add blended colours with less effort.

I suggest doing one petal at a time, so the first layer of cocoa butter has time to crystallize and you won’t wipe away your design. And be patient with yourself. Practice makes… it easier.
