A society that forces a 90 year old to use a smartphone to access services is not a modern society. It's a sick society that easily forgets its elders. 😥

By 2026, everything goes through an app, code, password, or online portal.

By those who built Canada hard work done.. and they find it today in front of screens that they don't always understand.

When an elderly person has to call their son, daughter or grandchildren just to make an appointment, pay a bill or fill out a government paper... something is not working anymore.

Progress is not when a part of the population feels left out in their own country.

Technology should make life easier for everyone, not just for those who are comfortable with a phone.

Because a society that leaves its elders behind does not become more modern.

She just keeps getting colder and less human.

For those following long , Francine's service was Monday afternoon . Just a beautiful sunny , warm day Just for her. .I would like to thank every one who came out to celebrate Francine . I know it had the potential to be a very sad day but , with the weather and the amount of people who came out , it was sad but just beautiful and those that left heartfelt cards for my family , those that donated to the Bannon house in Francine's name and those that came in spite of their own health issues and those who had to travel , you will never know how much it meant to me and my family , and a special thank you to those that got up to speak of their feelings for Francine. I know it was not easy .THANK YOU ....Terry and family

For those following along , the only reason I am putting this post out there today is , so many are reaching out with prayers ,love and hugs for my beautiful Francine , it warms my heart that so many people see what a beautiful soul she is , it is what I have seen since we first met , long before we were a couple .So it is with a very broken heart that I say that Francine was moved into palative care yesterday , we are at peace with that because she comfortable and they love her there already , which does not surprise me, finally thank you all from the bottom of my heart....Terry

For those following along , Francine got out of the hospital Friday .She is very happy to be home with a plan for her meds ,although I must say they took very good care of her, the staff were very compassionate and caring while they figured out the dosages for her pain meds ( ironically she was on the 3 rd floor , maternity ) .Yesterday we started chemo treatments again , but first a transfusion , so it was along day but as always she powered through. So we are feeling pretty good .

for those who are following along ,Francine went to the hospital Thursday at the er, we could not manage her pain at home , so they are finding the right mixture of med to help with the constant pain so we can manage it at home , she is at the dumont until they come up with a plan , she is in pretty good spirits considering all this , we are so proud of her and how she is handling all this head on .Keep all the positive vibes and hugs and prayers coming.

Well , we finally started chemo treatments this week , it took awhile to find a new one that we could use, because it had been only 6 months since the last treatments so they could not use it again. Francine took on the new treatments like the trooper she is, we are so proud of her, still a lot discomfort and unknowns but one day at a time and with all the love and prayers from all of you we stay positive. Francine is not on the computer or the phone , when she feels up to it , she will start communicating with people who are reaching out . As always we appreciate you all for everything and I will try to keep you up to date as things go forward.....Terry
