Hello Fam, I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to update on some personal stuff.

I recently started going back to work, it’s been long time coming. I am slowly getting use to the new routine. It’s challenging but I am moving forward in the right direction.

It has taken so much consistent work to be able to do that. Past 2.5 years have been life changing in so many ways. Sometimes you have to through rough times to find the beauty in life itself. I have grown so much in terms of my physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

I hope moving forward I can live with purpose and intention. I will continue to show up and hope I can serve this community better.

Birthday cake for my son!! I learned to bake because of him. I became a professional baker because I wanted to make anything he wanted to eat.
Having anaphylactic allergies is hard, I remember when we found out he is anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts. I started baking at home and everything I was like hockey pucks.. on top this he was gluten sensitive which made it so difficult. I have never baked in my life before except packaged muffins that I learned to make from my MIL.

What could I do? I ended up going to the pastry school and I still remember how focused I was. I didn’t even go to my sister’s wedding. ( It is so silly and crazy but I didn’t want to miss anything🫣)
After I graduated I didn’t even know what I wanted to do, with two young kids at home.
Being a baker has changed my life, it feels like I have evolved in so many different ways.

I started this nut free bakery in 2017 because I didn’t want any kid to left out. I wanted this space to be safe. Thank you for being part of this wonderful journey. 🙏🏾❤️

Earl grey and orange scones filled with raspberry jam. I didn’t have time to make cinnamon buns which is my usual but These were perfect to add to my son’s birthday breakfast.

Have a wonderful time with your family and friends. Thank you for your support for all these years. I have been working very hard to get back to the things I love the most, baking and teaching.

It will be almost 22 months ( who is counting?) since I have been off work due to my chronic back pain but your baker’s gotta be able to lift 20kg bags of flour and do acrobatics to be able to do all the work. I do yoga if that counts..😂

I am working so hard to get that strength back, and make my body so strong. Its1% better everyday. Let’s see if I can turn into a body builder in next couple of months.

On the sidenote: These are on repeat at my house. My nephew announced last week that he wants to eat more cinnamon buns, my son wants to give them as a gift. 😂 He is saving his money. Banana bread, for my in laws. Sourdough and and naan for home and anyone wants it let me know. I may have some connections with the baker.
