The inevitable has happened. After several years of rumours and speculations, Brighouse Square, where Old Manila Bakery was located, will soon be officially demolished. This is where four new towers will rise. Several of our former neighbours have either closed shop, relocated or are looking for a new location to move to. The skyline of downtown Richmond has dramatically changed over the past several years and there will even be more drastic changes coming.

Fast forward to the future when the new towers are built, we're sure many of us will return to visit and admire this new architectural creation. We can't help but reminisce that somewhere beneath the towers, somewhere inside the buildings, is where Old Manila Bakery once stood. It is in that very spot where we once baked our fresh pandesal, our melt in your mouth ensaymadas and other yummy Filipino goodies that we all miss!

After being in operation for almost 3 years, it is with our heavy heart to announce that we have decided to close down Old Manila Bakery. Our last day is tentatively on Saturday April 23, 2016.

If you need anything from the bakery, you should come this week and we will do our best to fulfill your orders.

For those of you who have heard about us but haven’t gotten around to visit us, now is the time to come! You must try our pandesal and taste what the real traditional pandesal should be. You should also not miss out on our super fluffy melt-in-your-mouth Ensaymada Espesyal, our all-time best seller! We are located in Richmond, in the rear of Brighouse Square Shopping Centre, behind the Canada Line Brighouse Station.

Our page will remain active and we will keep you updated on our current and potential future operations. You may also contact us through there.

Thank you to the team at the bakery for all their efforts and hard work! And on behalf of everyone at Old Manila Bakery, we sincerely thank all of our customers for their support and patronage over the past years! We hope we will be able to serve you again in the future!

Our Frozen Brazo de Mercedes is a traditional Filipino meringue / custard-based cake layered with ice cream and cookie crust. Our newest flavour is Cookies & Cream! All we can say is OMG! Little did we know, creating this new flavour is also celebrating National Oreo Cookie Day last March 6! 😄. Try it for yourself at Old Manila Bakery!

2015 has just gone by and what a year it has been! Our commitment to bringing the Philippines to Canada has been closer than ever. For the first time ever, we launched our new frozen desserts line - Frozen Mango Torte proudly made with Philippine mangoes and Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, a twist to the traditional Filipino cake.

Another first for Old Manila bakery are meat-filled pastries. You asked and we listened! We went back to our kitchen, tossed in all our ingredients and came up with three yummy and distinct flavours of Empanadas - curry chicken, tomato beef and pork adobo and all have been a hit!

We are launching many new products this year and we are working hard on them. In the meantime, we wanted to thank all of our customers for their continued support and patronage of Old Manila Bakery. We also wanted to thank the team at the bakery who worked really hard to make all these happen. May your basket this new year not only be filled with but overflowing with happiness and blessings!

Our Christmas bags are here and they are free with any purchase! This year's theme is "A Canadian Pasko (Christmas)" as interpreted and beautifully illustrated by Alyanna Chua. The picture shows how Filipinos celebrate Christmas in Canada, their home away from home. Christmas is also about sharing and giving. When you get a hold of these bags, share something to your family, friends or the needy what "A Canadian Pasko" really means to you!
